Therapy

Learn Online from Esteemed Shockwave Specialists and Stimulate Your Patients' Treatment Plans

Radial shockwave therapy is an exciting new treatment option that generates low-level acoustic waves. Studies have shown that these gentle vibrations promote new tissue growth. From massage/physical therapists to orthopedic specialists and even veterinarians, health professionals are finding shockwave therapy (SWT) to be an excellent complement to other methods. SWT is particularly enticing for conditions resistant to physical therapy or pharmaceuticals, such as fasciitis, tendinitis, excessive scar tissue, and avascular necrosis. It also shows promising results for sexual wellness and cellulite reduction.

A Turnkey Approach to Shockwave Treatment

Whether you provide clinical massage, physical therapy and sports medicine, or orthopedic treatment — or simply want to make your general practice more holistic — SWT can be a valuable tool in your toolkit. It is non-invasive and painless, yet considerably effective in improving patient outcomes. It also may be more appealing to patients averse to surgery or pharmaceuticals, as well as those who have not gained relief from standard treatment options.

Conditions such as joint inflammation, necrosis, delayed fractures, and urological dysfunction may be resistant to medication or manual treatment methods. For example, lateral epicondylitis, more commonly known as tennis elbow, is often treated through cold therapy, anti-inflammatory drugs, and/or by abstaining from physical activity. These options are not sustainable. However, SWT can penetrate multiple tissue layers to trigger new cell growth, helping restore muscles, tendons, ligaments, and blood vessels.

Meet Your Instructors

Although shockwave therapy is growing quickly, it is still an emerging field. Learn firsthand from a couple of pioneers who consider SWT a sustainable, non-invasive alternative to surgery — as well as a treatment method that actually addresses the root of your patient's pain.

Eric Ehle, DO

At Well Life Family Medicine, Dr. Ehle develops holistic treatment plans that help people live happier, healthier lives. He believes that our bodies' innate healing processes are more powerful than we allow them to be. By adopting restorative, sustainable health practices, we can improve patient outcomes and relieve conditions that otherwise require chronic medication and/or risky surgeries. As part of his integrative medicine approach, Dr. Ehle has been using regenerative treatments such as PRP and SWT to stimulate new tissue growth.

Dennis Minotti II, DO

With his focus on regenerative orthopedics, Dr. Minotti combines his expertise in neuromusculoskeletal medicine with emerging techniques that stimulate tissue growth. Rather than incurring the risk of surgery or relying on meds that only treat the symptoms, Dr. Minotti is committed to finding sustainable solutions for pain relief and injury recovery. He is skilled at using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Stem Cell Therapy, and SWT to promote healing.

With their guidance, you'll learn the basics of shockwave therapy and how to efficiently use this innovative treatment to boost your patients' recovery and overall wellness. This is an investment in not only your practice's offerings but also your patients' unique health journeys.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to have a machine to take the course?

These courses teach you the foundations of shockwave therapy and how to incorporate SWT into your patients' treatment plans. You do not need a machine to participate. The instructors will provide a functional overview of the radial shockwave device, though. Therefore, upon completion of the course, you may begin using SWT as soon as you obtain the machine.

You will also gain access to subsequent courses that do require machine access and hands-on learning.

How much does a shockwave machine cost?

Radial shock wave machines come in a wide variety of power levels and features. Most products that encompass the majority of use cases cost approximately $12,000 - $16,000. Focal Shockwave Machines that deliver a higher shock with a deeper reach (ideal for advanced joint rejuvenation, calcification treatment, etc.) can cost upwards of $60,000. In either case, though, the investment often pays for itself as you can offer these targeted, sustainable treatment options to more patients.
